You vs. Yourself

Jungle madness, tying of shoes,

Pens on paper, gulping of water,

Lip syncing, stolen radios.

The world muted, one single tear

Echoes through hallways.

Despair screams desperately.

Walls resound in glory; victory,

If only for but one.

Vibrant light gleams off hands.

He knows not, harm comes.

To her, not but a spark,

Clumsy steps taken.

Fingers and toes, hands and bones.

Abandon ship; jump from the bow,

Ties tied tight through steel.
